2.  A protocol is a set of rules governing a format of data sent over the
internet. Data is arranged into messages, these are sometimes called
’packets’
 3G/4G – It is the 4th generation of wireless tech on phones. It is faster
than 3g.It allows us to connect to the internet on a phone or tablet.
 Broadband – Broadband is a high capacity transmission using a wide
range of frequencies. We use broadband to connect to the internet.
 GPRS - This is a packet of oriented mobile data service (2G/3G), We
can use the internet through our mobile.
 Bluetooth – It is a short range wireless interconnection of electronic
devices, we use it to transfer files wirelessly between devices.

3.  Email – An email is a message distributed from one computer to another via the internet. You
can use it by sending messaged via a network.
 IM – This stands for An Instant Message. You can send and receive a message in real time.
 sms (short message server) & mms (multi media service) – It’s a standard way to send a message
with multimedia content. It allows the exchange of messages greater than 160 characters.
 Blogs – A blog is a regularly updates website typically run by an individual. It allows an
individual to express thoughts and feelings.
 Wikis – This is a database created by a community of users who can edit information. It allows
people to read and update if needed.
 MMPRPG - This is a massively multiplayer roleplay game. You can download it and go online to
play.
 Chat Groups – A chat group is a website service that provides users to talk in real time. You can
do this via ‘what's app’ and other sites/apps.
 Forums – This is a medium of ideas and views that can be exchanged. It allows
database between people (conferences).

4.  WWW – This stands for world wide web. It is the start of a web address.
 ISP – This stands for internet service provider (sky broadband). It can be used for
website building or virtual hosting.
 Domains – This is an area territory owned by a particular ruler such as (google).
They are used in order to identify more ID addresses.
 WEB 3.0 – This is the evolution of the web as an web. It is an extension of web 2.0.
You can use it when the internet is giving you options when you search for
something.
