1. Courage:
n. The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables
one to face danger, fear, or vicissitudes with self-
possession, confidence, and resolution; bravery.
In my eyes: Courage gives you the strength to
stand up for what you believe in, even when
your all alone; to shout out at the top of your
lungs when all others remain silent.

In 1989 the people of China protested the communist government. On
the June fourth incident of Tiananmen Square one man stood up in the
face of death for what he believed in.

12. Moral Courage
I’ve learned there are many different types of courage, and I
have displayed only a few. Most people think of courage as
being able to jump off cliffs. Experiences like those need
physical courage. Moral courage is the ability to act correctly
even in the face of discouragement, which to me seems like
the more amazing of the two. Basically, moral courage is
“doing the right thing.”
