1. National Honor Society
students are available Monday
- Thursday after school in the
library for peer tutoring in all
subjects. Please take advantage
of this great opportunity to get
help with your schoolwork!
2. Juniors - the Herff-Jones
class ring reps will be here
to take orders on November
3rd - 12:00 -
8:00pm, November 4th -
8:00 am - 2:30 pm, and
November 5th - 10:00 am -
3. Student Code of Conduct books
have arrived. If you requested a
copy from the first day
packet, please see the receptionist
for pick-up. Parents and students
will need to sign for the
Handbook. Due to very limited
supply, we are distributing the books
only to people who have requested
them.
4. Congratulations to the CRHS
Speech & Debate Team. Journey
M. placed 1st in Original Oratory.
Kyrie R. was a Poetry finalist.
Quaram R. and Emma P. made it to
quarterfinals and Raunick P. and
Neel R. placed 2nd in Public Forum
Debate. Congrats to all!!!
5. French Club is meeting on
Wednesday, October 26th at 4:15
in room B 211. Come dressed in a
Halloween costume with a French
twist! Prizes will be awarded to
funniest, scariest and best
costume! Come and enjoy Ice
cream and candy!
6. Red Ribbon Week is this week. Show
your Drug Free pride and participate
on our Dress up days: Wednesday-
TEAM UP AGAINST DRUGS-Wear your
favorite team shirt or jersey, Thursday-
GIVE DRUGS THE SLIP-Wear your
favorite slippers, Friday-HATS OFF TO
A DRUG FREE LIFE-Wear your favorite
hat that day.
7. Are you interested in joining the
UIL Academic Science team?
Please meet with Mr. Thompson in
A231 before or after school on
Thursday, October 27. If you
cannot make the meeting, please
see Mr. Thompson before the end
of the week.
8. Recycling Raiders: need service
hours! Come help recycle at the
Fall Choir Concert on
THURSDAY, October 27 at 7 pm.

9. HOSA Members: we are now
accepting orders for HOSA T-
shirts. This is a special sale for
HOSA members only, t-shirts are
$8 and you can pay either Mrs.
Moore, Mrs. Pickett or Mrs.
Wright. All money is due by Friday,
October 28th!!
10. Please come and support the Cedar Ridge
Dance Department in our district-wide
performance of "Intersection." All dance
classes level 1-4 will be performing with
other middle schools and high schools at
the RRISD PAC on Saturday October 29th
at 11am and 2pm. The shows are free but
all donations help support our growing
program. We hope to see you there!

deadline for this semester.
12. Spanish Club will meet
Monday, October 31 at 4:15 after
school in Senorita Hodges room
A110. We will be electing
officers, so if you want to run for
office, make sure to submit your
application.. Candidates, come
prepared with your speeches!
13. ROZVI will meet on Monday, Oct. 31 at
4:15 in the library. All members are
invited. Don't forget to bring dues if you
haven't paid. We will be decorating
pumpkins and will get our shirts on that
day. Turn in books for the Invisible
Children book drive, too. The Red Team
is now in the lead! Check the Rozvi page
for details.
14. A mandatory parent meeting will
be held Tuesday November 1st for
those interested in trying out for
Royalty. You must be there with a
parent or guardian on November
1st to be eligible to audition. The
meeting will in the cafeteria at
7pm on Tuesday November 1st.
15. Do you like pancakes? How
about French toast?? Come
on out to IHOP next
Tuesday, November 1 for our
first HOSA Fund-raising night.

Poetry Club meets

17. PTSA Reflections Contest - Unleash your
artistic talents by reflecting on what
diversity means. Categories include dance
choreography, film production, musical
composition, literature, photography, and
visual arts. Submissions are due by
November 7. Turn yours in to the green
box in the Library. Pick up an entry form in
one of the offices or in the library.
18. We need your photos for the yearbook.
We're looking for great summer vacation
photos from trips you took last summer
around the state, around the country and
around the world. Stop by room D116, or
email them to
cedarridgeraiders@gmail.com. We also
need photo of how you beat the heat the
summer -- backyard pool photos, Rockin'
River photos, Lake Travis
photos, Schlitterbahn photos -- anything
you did here to beat the heat
