The document provides information about peak flu season symptoms and procedures for keeping sick children home from school. It also discusses the word of the month, responsibility, and recognizes top students from each grade. Additionally, it shares lunch menus and schedules, school supply lists, contact information, and upcoming events like basketball games and a dance.
2. We are in peak flu season. Please be aware
of flu symptoms: fever, headache, extreme
tiredness, dry cough, sore throat, muscle
aches, runny or stuffy nose, and some may
exhibit stomach symptoms such as nausea,
vomiting, and/or diarrhea. These symptoms
will last for several days. If your child has a
fever, however low grade, please keep them
home. Students must be fever free for 24
hours, without medicine, before returning to
school. Also, please encourage your child to
wash their hands.
3. WORD OF THE MONTH:
RESPONSIBILITY
Do what you are supposed to do • Plan ahead •
Persevere: keep on trying! • Always do your best •
Use self-control • Be self-disciplined • Think before
you act — consider the consequences • Be
accountable for your words, actions, and attitudes •
Set a good example for others –
Teachers open the door, but you must walk through
it yourself.— Chinese proverb
