The European Grid Infrastructure
Towards a sustainable grid infrastructure
The European Grid Infrastructure (EGI) is a collaboration between National Grid Initiatives and European
research laboratories coordinated by EGI.eu, a non-profit foundation based in Amsterdam. EGI brings together
approximately 300 sites in 45 countries into an integrated, secure and reliable grid infrastructure to provide
researchers across Europe with the computing resources they need to tackle today’s scientific challenges.
About the Event

Exhibition
The exhibition of the EGI User Forum will be held on the lobby of the Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva Conference
Centre.
The deadline for booth registration is 25 March 2011. If you would like to rent booth space at the User Forum
please send an email to info-uf2011@egi.eu.

Final timings will be announced in due course prior the event. We kindly ask you to follow the exhibition
opening times and to make sure that your booth is staffed during all time.
Booth information
The exhibition floor at the User Forum will feature up to 20 exhibition booths. The booths have an area of six

square meters (6m ; 2 x 3m).
Exhibition booths for projects, academic institutions and other not for profit organisations cost 450 euros for
the full duration of the exhibition. It is not possible to hire a booth for just one day, or any other fraction of the
exhibition. The price does not include individual passes. Exhibitors will have to register separately to attend
the event.
Commercial organisations and companies are also very welcome to hire booth space at the event.

The event’s venue is in a central area of Vilnius, with easy road access and good parking.
All materials for the User Forum exhibition should arrive between 27 March and 10 April.
Setting up the exhibition
Installation will start on Monday 11 April at 8:00 and should be finished by 9:00, when the exhibition floor is
officially opened. It will also be possible to set up the booths on Sunday 10 April, between 18:00 and 21:00.
Each booth will be clearly labelled with the name of its organisation. A detailed floor plan, displaying all the
booths and their allocated exhibitors, will be released in due time. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to
accommodate preferences of individual exhibitors and once booth location is assigned it cannot be changed.
The organisers of the EGI User Forum and the Radisson Blue Hotel Lietuva will not be responsible for any item
or material lost or misplaced during the exhibition, either during or after opening hours.
Dismantling
No tear down will be authorised before the official end of the exhibition on Wednesday 13 April at 17:00. If
you are an exhibitor, please take this into consideration when making your travel arrangements.
All materials should be removed from the exhibition floor by the latest Thursday 14 April at 9:00. The
organisers of the EGI User Forum and the Radisson Blue Hotel Lietuva Forum will not be responsible for any
item or material that has not been removed once the event is finished.

Registration for the User Forum 2011 is open to all members of the EGI community, scientists and researchers,
prospective users, business leaders and everyone with an interest in grid computing and its applications to
science.
The registration form is available online in the User Forum’s website.
Please note that to keep the price at an affordable level, booth registration does not include delegate passes.
Exhibitors are required to register separately to attend the event.

Confirmation of Registration
The registration will be confirmed by email after we receive the payment. Those who do not receive a

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Before 28 February, 2011: 50 % will be refunded from the payment.
After 28 February, 2011: No payment will be refunded.
Refunds will be issued after the Forum. Bank charges will be deducted from the refund. For refunds please
state your full bank account.

Additional information
You are very welcome to arrange activities to attract participants to visit your booth during the scheduled
breaks and on the Monday and Tuesday evening social events. Please contact the EGI events team
(events@egi.eu) to discuss your ideas.
The organisers of the User Forum reserve the right to make changes in the layout of the exhibition, to deviate
from the space confirmation and to allocate a place in a different location, to alter the size of the booth, to re-
allocate or close entrances and exits on the exhibition grounds and/or in the congress venue and to carry out
structural alternations providing it has substantial interest in such measures, based on special circumstances.
It will not be not possible to change booth location onsite.
