INTRODUCTION
Diabetes, also known by doctors as diabetes mellitus, in which the
person has high blood glucose, either because insulin production is
inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to
insulin, or both. Patients with high blood sugar will typically experience
frequent urination, they will become very thirsty and hungry. Nowadays,
we can see that lots of young adults diagnosed with diabetes. So, we
chose diabetes as our topic because we would like to find out how well
do adults aged between 21-25 and 26-30 know about diabetes. There are
16 questions in our survey form. Through the survey form we can
analyse and determine the understanding level of young adults aged 21
to 25 and adults aged 26 to 30 on one of the common chronic disease in
Malaysia.
3
OBJECTIVES
Nowadays, diabetes is very common. Especially adults, most of the
adults now are diagnosed with diabetes. It is very disturbing that a young
adult have such disease. It could troubles his daily life as he or she may
need constant insulin injection or proper care. Diabetes is a chronic
disease. You can’t get rid of it. However, it can be delayed and prevent.
Therefore, knowledge and education of diabetes is very important to the
adults now. So we decided to use men as or target analysis. Analysis on
men between age 21-25 and 26-30 is considered for different purposes.
The main objective of this survey is to compare their understanding level
on diabetes between the age 21-25 and 26-30.

Conclusion
In conclusion, the major purpose of our survey is to gather and
integrate all the information into a complete table and compare the
understanding level on diabetes between the male with the age of 21-25
and 26-30. Through the histogram that show participants (100 male with
the age of 21-25 and 100 male with the age of 26-30), we find out that
63% of male with the age 26-30 have basic diabetes knowledge than
male with the age 21-25 which is 44% only. Other than that, 55% of
male from age group 26-30 known the normal glucose level which is 70-
99 mg/dl and it is higher than the male from the age group of 21-25,
which is 39%. Besides, 56% of male from age group of 26-30 know that
diabetes cannot be cured whereas only 26% of male from group 21-25
answer it correctly. On the other hand, 66% of male from group 26-30
comprehend that smoking will causes diabetes, however only 24% of
male from group of 21-25 have the same idea. Lastly, from the overall
survey, we can conclude that male from the age group of 26-30 have a
better understanding on diabetes than the male of age group 21-25.

  • 27. Conclusion In conclusion, the major purpose of our survey is to gather and integrate all the information into a complete table and compare the understanding level on diabetes between the male with the age of 21-25 and 26-30. Other than that, 55% of male from age group 26-30 known the normal glucose level which is 70- 99 mg/dl and it is higher than the male from the age group of 21-25, which is 39%. Besides, 56% of male from age group of 26-30 know that diabetes cannot be cured whereas only 26% of male from group 21-25 answer it correctly. On the other hand, 66% of male from group 26-30 comprehend that smoking will causes diabetes, however only 24% of male from group of 21-25 have the same idea. Lastly, from the overall survey, we can conclude that male from the age group of 26-30 have a better understanding on diabetes than the male of age group 21-25.
