2. Samsung is a South Korean multinational
conglomerate company, plays as an important role in
development such as politics, culture of South Korea.
It was found in 1938 in Korea by Lee Byeong Cheol.
it started as a trading company, exporting groceries
to China, especially Manchuria. And after almost 70
years later it became the largest business company in
the world.
3. In 22nd March, 1938, Samsung is set up in
Daegu in South Korea, named as “Samsung
trading association”. After selling groceries for
more than 30 years, the first subsidiary is
established, mainly selling fridges.

company in the world, having more than 300
offices in over 70 countries, with 196 thousands

In 2003, Samsung occupies 6.3% of tax of whole
South Korea
In 2006, there were 8782 patents register by Korea
in USA, and 3611 of it are from Samsung, occupied
over 40%.
Nowadays Samsung is the second largest
semiconductor manufacturer, owning 62
subsidiaries, with almost 20 types of products
occupying the top of the world’s market,
supporting Samsung to be the largest business in
the world
