For specific information about each license check out: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/ Creative Commons = Some Rights Reserved Creative Commons allows creators to share their work for free under certain conditions. There are four different license categories: Attribution ; Share Alike No Derivatives Non-Commercial
When and Why should you use Creative Commons? Whenever you are required to use pictures and images in your work Using work licensed under Creative Commons is the ONLY way to use images that are not your own without plagiarising! It is legally required of us to show academic honesty and cite our sources.
So how do I do this? flickr (www.flickr.com) is an online photo sharing site that allows people to license images under Creative Commons
flickr: Step One Search for your photo
flickr: Step Two Select Advanced Search
Enter your search terms Select your content Select your media type Select CC licensing Search!
Use Netiquette Select an image Comment on their image Thank them for licensing under Creative Commons Let them know how you are using their image

  • 8. Use Netiquette Select an image Comment on their image Thank them for licensing under Creative Commons Let them know how you are using their image
