are:competence in linguistic communication,
digital competence, learning to learn, and
autonomy and personal initiative.
Didactic materials and didactic resources:
computer connected to a video projector,
Power Point programme, Internet access
Timing
4. A biography of...
Activities: Power Point about sports, phonemic
chart, a survey chart, autonomous learning by
means of Treasure Hunt about Australia
(students work on a web-based information
collection activity). There are also
reinforcement activities and extension activities.
We love Treasure Hunt!
5. OPINION
I think the most significant aspect is the use of
resources such as Power Points and Treasure
Hunt. The competences are just mentioned. They
are not analysed in detail. The rest of didactic
units presented by the author follow the same
model. The only difference is that this is the only
unit in which competences are mentioned.
6. The Sounds of English
There are five presentations. The different
phonetic symbols are introduced in presentations
one and two. Number three is to practise in class,
and numbers four and five are thought to be used
as tests. The objectivesobjectives are to learn the phonetic
alphabet in order to check the pronunciation of
words and to improve the pronunciation itself.
7. DIGITAL BOARD
I have chosen this resource because I think it is
going to be the first one I am going to use.
However, I haven't learnt much about it after
watching the tutorial. Some of the most interesting
things for me is that you can save the contents of
the previous sessions and, if one student is ill at
home, you can send him/her an e-mail with the
contents of the session you have just explained.
The best of all is that the software seems easy to
use. In the section I'd like to know more there is
another interesting video.
8. JCLIC
A friend of mine considers Jclic one of the best
resources to use in class and he is always telling
me about the advantages of such activities. On
the other hand, there are many teachers who
think that these activities require a great effort for
teachers (much time to create them) and the
students do them very quickly. After watching the
tutorial, I think the seven kinds of activities seem
quite interesting so I suppose the students will like
them too. One thing is certain for me,-I woudn't be
able to practise those things just by watching a
tutorial.
