When we are deluged by dark emotions, our
culture either medicates us, or asks us to
distract ourselves to eradicate emotional
suffering. And just as we are learning to
become numb, we are asked to feel, express
and release our emotions. Contradictions
abound.
Dark emotions are symptoms; messages from
the unconscious that are transmitted to us. If
interpreted accurately, they can be conduits of
healing and growth. The emotions are neither
good nor bad. There is a good embedded in
every bad emotion, but we can only reach the
good by experiencing the bad, not by avoiding
it. Dark emotions hide a spiritual essence, and
by learning how to attend to, befriend, and
surrender to the energies of grief, fear and
despair we approach the gateway of
transformation and transcendence. These dark
emotions are transmuted into gratitude, faith
and joy.
Come and join a small group of people for 8
weeks and share your dark emotions. Learn to
grow thru and with them, healing yourself by
transcending them thru the use of creative
endeavors - dreams, music, writing and art.
