3. On the week of Halloween people buy candy to give out to the
children on Halloween night. Candy corn, Sneakers, Twix, Kit-kat
chocolate bars, and scary candy are among some of the
kid´s favorite treats!
4. We love decorating our houses for Halloween! Usually,
people start decorating the outside and inside of their
houses on the first weeks of October.
5. As soon as October arrives, Halloween costume shops
open up all around town. These Halloween costume
shops have hundreds of different costumes to choose
from!
6. There are many different kinds of costumes and they do
not have to be scary. Both children and adults love
dressing up as their favorite characters.
9. On Halloween day, kids dress up in their costumes to go
to school. Sometimes, the entire school participates in a
parade and moms and dads can visit!
10. On the week of Halloween, kids and adults buy
pumpkins and they carve themwith different figures to
make Jack-o-lanterns!
11. As soon as it is dark outside, kids and their parents
dress in their costumes and go around their
neighborhood fromhouse to house trick-or-treating.
12. People leave their porch lights on if they are giving out candy. If
they are not giving out candy, they turn off their porch lights.
This way, the kids know which houses to go to and which ones
not to go to.
13. Kids knock on the doors and yell ``trick-or-treat.´´ Then, owners
of the house open their doors with a basket full of candy and
they give it out to the kids.
14. At the end of the night, kids go back home
and count all their candy.
15. Adults in the USA also love
Halloween and they often throw
custom parties to celebrate.
