• The legal drinking and purchase age in Latvia is 18. Selling
alcoholic drinks in stores, with the exemption of restaurants,
clubs, and bars, is against the law between the hours of 10 PM
and 8 AM. Drinking in public is also against the law.
• Persons under 18 years of age are not allowed to purchase
cigarettes.
• Smoking restrictions - At public transport stops, cinemas,
theatres, concert halls, museums, video and sports
halls, parks, squares and beaches, except if there are
places specially designated for smoking.
• No drugs are allowed in Latvia
