What if Uppercase Living vinyl designs were available
at nearly double the size? Now it’s a reality, through our
Grande Format product line! We’re offering oversized
versions of 6 brand new designs and 1 current design,
with some reaching as high as eight feet! Every design
comes in our traditional solid-color vinyl so customers
can create a bold visual statement on any large surface—
without the mess and hassle of paint.

Every Grande Format design arrives with numbered
parts, so customers can easily piece them together
and apply them to their surface. We’ve simplified the
process even further by including simple yet detailed
application instructions for Grande Format expressions
in the application instruction pamphlet inserted in
each order. You can find these same instructions
below, so you can more adequately answer customers’
questions on the Grande Format application process:
1 Find a Partner
Because of the size of Grande Format Expressions,
we recommend finding at least one other person
to help you with the application process.
2 Lay Out Your Expression
Using the floor or another large surface, lay
out each vinyl sheet that came with your
Grande Format order. Confirm that you have
received all the segments necessary to complete
your expression.
3 Cut Out Each Segment
Cut out the separate segments of your
expression, leaving about 1 of space around
each one. If multiple segments are included
on a single vinyl sheet, they will be separated
visually by thin divider lines. These lines are
merely reference marks to help you differentiate
between segments.
4 Tape Segments onto Your Surface
Using painter’s or masking tape, tape each
segment to your surface in the location you
plan to apply it.
5 Locate the Registration Marks
Determine Your Beginning Segment
Each segment of your design includes a set
of diamond-shaped registration marks ( ),
each of which features a number. Locate the
numbers on each segment, then follow the
directions below.
• If your expression has only 2 segments: the
registration marks on both segments will
include a “1,” and only one piecing will be
necessary to complete the expression. Simply
select the segment that will be easiest to
apply first on your selected surface, then the
second segment will follow.

• Rooms with vaulted ceilings
• Around a large picture window
• As a headboard above a bed
• In a playroom
• On large living or family room walls

• If your expression has more than 2 segments:
locate the two segments with a “1” in their
registration marks. You will apply these
segments first. If your expression needs
to align with the base of your surface, start
with that segment of your design first to
ensure that it is positioned correctly. If your
expression does not need to align with your
surface, begin with the piece that is easiest
to apply.
6 Apply Your First Segment
Place your first segment face up on a flat surface.
Using the green UL Transfer Tool included with
your order, rub firmly across the entire surface of
the segment. Flip the segment over, and slowly
remove the thick backing paper, leaving your
vinyl design adhered to the sticky transfer tape.
Have your partner hold the top portion of the
segment away from the surface as you apply the
bottom portion. Smooth the vinyl with the palm
of your hand until the entire segment is adhered
to your surface, then rub your UL Transfer Tool
firmly across the entire expression. Slowly
remove the sticky transfer tape, leaving your
vinyl segment adhered to your surface.
7 Continue Piecing Your Design Together
Once your first segment is in place, locate
the next segment with a “1” in its registration
marks. Rub the expression face-up with your
UL Transfer Tool, and remove the thick backing
paper. Hold the segment where the registration
marks appear, and have your partner hold the
opposite end away from the surface. Line up the
registration marks of this segment directly on
top of the first segment’s marks. Smooth out the
entire expression using the palm of your hand,
rub it with the UL Transfer Tool, and remove the
transfer tape as indicated in Step 6. Continue
this step with the rest of your segments, lining
them up with their corresponding numbers.
8 Remove Registration Marks
Once you’ve applied all the segments of your
design, remove the registration marks. Your
expression is complete!
