An expansion card is an electronic card added
into a desktop computer. These cards give that

The power supply, also known as PSU (Power
Supply Unit) is used to convert the power
provided from the outlet into usable power for
the components of the computer case.
10. HARD DISK DRIVE
A hard disk drive (HDD) is the mechanism that
controls the positioning, reading, and writing of
the hard disk, which provides the largest amount
of data storage for the PC.

Software is a collection of instructions
that enable the user to interact with a
computer. Without software, computers
would be useless. For example, without
software you wouldn't surf the Internet.

The advantage is that it is not necessary to install
or configure them. For example: Dropbox.
● Local software:
In this case, programmes need to be installed and
stored in the computer. For example: Windows.

Software has to be “loaded” into the
computer's storage. After that, the computer
is able to execute the software. This involves
passing instructions from the application

15. WHAT ISDEP
DEP (Data Execution Prevention) is a security
feature that prevent damage to your computer
from viruses. DEP can protect your computer by
monitoring programs to make sure they use
system memory safely.
