4. ‘ Users of Scholarship Technology’ conceived: … as a network community to advance useful scholarship technology; it’s about acquiring skills, sharing knowledge, building and being part of a community of practice for learning, teaching and research. Mark Morley, 2008

8. Inquiry approach The inquiry approach to teaching and learning (also know as inquiry- or enquiry-based learning) describes a process of learning in which students are faced with open ended questions, often of their own devising, which encourage then to engage in research like activities.
9. The roles of researcher, teacher, and learner are blurred as individuals assume different roles at different times. A community comes together, mediated by the technology to investigate, via inquiry and experimentation, uses and applications of the technology. We're working to develop a lightweight framework environment for this community of inquiry to research the potential of 'mashup', adapting of, and 'piggy-backing' on Web 2.0 tools.
19. Justification We believe it was appropriate to start experimenting to develop the adaptable approach and propel us up the implementation learning curve ready for future developments (even though there are current limitations). As Martin Weller says, "... we need to get used to a continual stream of tools we love for a few months ..." http://nogoodreason.typepad.co.uk/no_good_reason/2008/01/the-facebook-le.html last accessed on 11/06/08 14:36
