Kennesaw State University was established in 1963 and is now the third largest university in the University System of Georgia with over 23,400 students enrolled across its eight academic colleges. Kennesaw State University offers 70 bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs through colleges such as the Coles College of Business, College of the Arts, College of Science and Mathematics, and Bagwell College of Education. In addition to academic programs, Kennesaw State University also provides on-campus housing for over 3,000 students and dining facilities like The Commons.

KSU Academic Colleges General Endowments & Scholarships Kennesaw State University was established by the University System of Georgia in 1963 and its mission includes education, research and service. KSU is the third largest university in the University System of Georgia with over 23,400 students enrolled in its 70 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs within its eight academic colleges. *Establishing a Distinguished and/or Endowed position provides funds to its holder in support of his or her teaching, research and service and is supported by payout from an endowment fund, a fund functioning as an endowment fund, or from an annual allocation.

4. The 4,600-seat KSU Convocation Center opened in 2005 is home to the Owls basketball and volleyball teams as well as the athletic department’s administrative offices. 5. Currently, over 3000 students live on campus in KSU’s four apartment communities. KSU Place, University Place, and University Village are apartment-style, fully furnished units with full kitchens. 6. The Commons The two-story, 53,466-sq. ft. facility features student-designed artwork and an on-site herb and vegetable garden. Offering nine different food venues including made-to-order specialty sandwiches, build-your-own salads, and international and regional cuisines that offer student recommended recipes, The Commons sets a new standard for campus dining.

7. Horace W. Sturgis Library The Library will build out its current technology spaces into an undergraduate Information Commons allowing students and faculty more opportunities to engage in content creation. Additional seating, computer work stations, study rooms and group collaboration areas will give students the optimal studying environment.

8. WellStar Health Sciences Building Prillaman Hall The Silver LEED Certified Health Sciences Building offers an additional 200,000 sq. ft. of classroom, laboratory and office space to promote cross campus and departmental collaboration. The expanded facility Allows the university to increase the number of nursing graduates from about 185 a year to approximately 250.

9. Bagwell College of Education KSU’s Bagwell College of Education offers an array of teacher education programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, education specialist and doctoral levels. BCOE places strong emphasis on preparing teachers in high need areas such as special education, English as a Second Language and “STEM” disciplines.

10. Coles College of Business KSU is one of only a few universities in the United States to offer a four-year degree in professional selling, which incorporates the skills and ethics of sales. The Sales program allows students to develop an effective combination of strategic and tactical communication, relationship building and sales skills through real life and experiential exercises.

11. College of the Arts COTA provides outstanding arts education which prepares students to be locally and globally engaged artists, scholars, educators, and citizens. The College offers liberal arts and professional arts degrees that honor tradition alongside innovation, fuses theory and practice, and promotes integrity, discipline, arts advocacy, and leadership.

College of Science and Mathematics KSU’s College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) has reached full capacity for instructional and research laboratory space in the biological and chemical science degree programs. The new science lab will be a four-story, 52,000 sq. ft. structure housing 14 teaching labs, 12 student labs along with other instructional and administrative office spaces.

The College of Humanities & Social Sciences hosts 16 programs in eight departments ,providing the diverse learning experiences students need to both construct the framework for their chosen majors and develop the depth of knowledge demanded by employers. 14. University College University College provides an academic home for exploratory students who have not yet determined their academic major . University College also provides greater visibility and significance to a variety of programs, academic support services, and projects which promote student engagement and student success in and out of the classroom.
