8. Analyzing an Individual Reproduction of a Work… These picture don’t have a lot of dark portions, it’s very bright. Yes, the different values and colors set a happy, fresh mood. It uses all the hues in the color wheel, it doesn’t follow any certain color scheme. They are high intensity. There are a lot more warm colors (reds, oranges, yellows, and pinks) than cool (blues, greens, light purples).
9. …Questions continued… Yes it does in a way create a three dimensional space because there are layers of squares and rectangles. It looks like the picture is folding in on itself. The cool colors guide you to see a picture of a landscape against the layers of bright shapes. There are a predominant concentration of warm colors in the middle of the picture, taking up a lot of space. With the lines layering and overlapping lines the Artist breaks away from reality, it gives this painting a true cubism feel.
