1. My projectmaynot directlyimprove the livesof amillionpeople, butthose of a thousandwhowouldin
turn improve the livesof abillion. The SingularityPyramid(SP) isa3D model onan online platformin
whicheverykindof knowledge canmappedinrelationtoeachotherin twoabstract dimensions:from
technical toinsightful (insightsare derivedfromtechnical knowledge),andfromresource-constrainedto
resources-unconstrained.Inthe thirddimension,knowledgeis connectedtosmallerobjectssuchas
“data” and “information”,orcombined altogetherintobiggerobjectssuchas “discipline”,“technology”,
“consciousness”,“problem”,etc.Eachobjectinthe SP showsthe accumulatedpercentage of accuracy
(e.g.global warmingisreal,90%) basedonsubmittedresponsesandsubmitters’People Rank,andeach
user’spercentage of “consciousness”or “completion”(e.g.50%),whichindicatesthe percentageof
relatedobjects the userhas mastered(e.g.CO2density/global temperaturecorrelation).
SP will help:
+ Scientiststake leapsof faithtoaccelerate scientificdiscoverybyallowingthemtobrowse anddecide
to pursue stronglytestifiedbeliefs(mappedOUTSIDEthe SPwithan indefinitelypendingapproval of
admission).Forexample,ascientistcansignificantlynarrow downthe attributesof the correct
cosmological model bysimplychoosingtobelieve that“spiritsexist”.
+ Crowdsource widelyrecognizedinsightstosave yearsof technical research
+ Become consciousof short/long termproblemsandtheircorrelationstodevise the rightstrategyto
solve them
+ Motivate yourself tocompete forhigher/deeperknowledge andhigherlevel of consciousness
+ Identifygeographicalmarketneedsandpredictmarkettrends
+ Estimate otherpeople’slevelof consciousnesstohelp,persuade,ormanipulate them
+ Analyze macroscopicuniversal laws
+ Literallyputyouandpartnerson the same page to rarelyargue again
+ Confirm,reviseorstrengthenyourassumptions
+ Buildyour“pyrofile”, apicture of your mind, andaccurately positionyourself inthe society
+ Spawna newbreedof ultra-high-techanalystscalled“paralysts”
+ Reference avisual mapof collectiveknowledge that displaysrelationshipsbetweendifferent
disciplines

2. GSP isthe onlyplace where Ican teamup with people whoare passionate aboutmultidisciplinary
knowledge toimplementmyproject.Iplantogather as many teammembersaspossible andget
supportfromall other studentsnomatterwhattheyare workingon. ThoughI have outlinedthe whole
Pyramidinbroadstrokes, I needtheirexpertisetoworkoutthe detailsof the data structure for their
respective fields.Theydon’thave tocome upa detailed structure of awhole fieldsuchasmolecular
biology. They canstart buildingthe Pyramidbytryingto mapall relatedelementsintheirownproject
ideas(assumptions leadingtothe problem, causesof the problem, feasibility of solutions inpotential
markets, available technology, knowledgeand consciousness of teammembers, level of consciousness
of targetcustomers, etc.) inthe mostsystematicandcomprehensive way.In case of BioThalia, they
were solvingaproblembasedonassumptionsthatit’smore urgenttosolve the immediatelyproblemof
pandemics thanitsdeeperproblems,knowledgeandtechnologiestocreate BioThaliatechnology were
available, thistechnology couldscale upandbe welcomedin specificcountries, etc. Whatkindsof data,
knowledge,testifiedbywhichscientists,organizationscanstrengthenthese assumptions?A
comprehensive mapof all of themand theirrelationshipswillserve asthe firstbuildingblocksinthe
Pyramid. The very processof buildingthe Pyramid canbe moderatedtodemonstrate the applicationof
the SP model asa methodology, inwhich we have toidentifyandsolve problems thatrequirehigher
level of consciousness andcombine radicallydifferentdisciplines. The mostimportantpeople Iam
lookingforare a chief big-dataarchitect,amasterinterface designer,abrilliantCEOforfundraisingand
businessmodelbuilding, andsomeone whocanadda touch to make the Pyramidreflectthe dynamic
and interconnected nature of reality. The primarypurposesof this pilotprojectisforSU studentsto
raise awarenessof deeperproblems, enhance mutualunderstanding, validate assumptions, compileand
track cross-disciplinaryinsights (well-foundedassumptions),andredraw the roadmapto Singularity.
3. SP shouldbe designednotjustforexplorationof knowledge inrandomdirections (aswithWikipedia
and Google Knowledge Graph) whichisabundantandall overthe place, butprimarily foranUPWARD
direction (more insightful and“efficient”knowledge)towardthe Singularity. Computertechnologyis
central to thiscreationof SP:
+ For starters, itlookslike whenyouopen Google Earth andsee, insteadof afloatingblue globe inthe
middle of the screen,afloatingpyramid.
+ Highlyscalable technologyarchitecture sothatitcan be upgradedfrequently, runmanykindsof
experimentsandapplications,anddeal with extremely bigdata.
+ Aningeniousdatastructure toaccommodate machine-readable bigdatain3 abstractdimensions,a
semanticnetworkwhichcontainsbillionsof objects, spanningall fieldsof humanknowledge,millionsof
usersand relationshipsbetweenthem.
+ StrongAI fordata mining froma varietyof sources suchas Wikipedia, harnessingthe resourcesof
LinkingOpenDataproject, reducingknowledge redundancy,scrawling&indexing, mappingandlinking
newknowledge/data/information (ontothe Pyramid)fromnews,articles,andpaperstoreflectthe
dynamicandevolutionof variousobjectsin reality (consciousness,problem, solution,etc.).
+ Strongdata visualization capabilities forspecialpurposes.Inthisage, informationisthe tool towin
invisible wars. The choice of dataand visualizationmethodscanaffectourcourse to the Singularity.
+ Wheneverythinginplace, aplanwill be outlinedto propose apartial mergerwithWikipedia.
+ The technologyshouldbe made compatible tothatof Google KnowledgeGraph forpotential
commercial partnership.
+ Future projectswill focusonsoftware toprocessandvisualizedatainSPfor commercial orpolitical
purposes,e.g.toidentifyuntapped marketpotential of certainbusinesspracticesindeveloping
countries basedon gapsin the collective consciousness of theircustomerbase, orto prove universal
lawsto political leadersinordertoreach secret consensus.
+ Future researcheswilltouchthe possibilityof applyingneuroscience, electrical engineering, and
bionanotechnology increatingan organic-inorganichybridcomputerwithenoughcapabilitiestorunthe
full-scaleSP.
4. The ideaof the SingularityPyramidcame tome fourtimesbefore.
The firstwas whenI wastryingto convince myfellow environmental activiststhatwe were justdealing
withthe tipof the icebergandwe had to raise our level of consciousnessinordertoidentifyandsolve
deeperproblems.
The secondwas whenI read abouthow mastermindsbehindagrandscheme createdthe rulesof the
game whichmillionsof simple mindedpeople playedbyandneverfiguredout.
The third waswhenI wasconvincedthatthere are grainsof truth inreligiousknowledge thatcanserve
as hintsforthe scientificcommunitytoaccelerate scientificdiscovery, andthese grains canbe put inthe
same picture with scientificknowledge.
The fourthwas whenI realizedthatthe Singularitymustbe the convergence of more than just
technologiesand we needtostandon a highergroundto see that.
So, I realize thata kindof VISUALIZEDHIERARCHY is needed inall of these cases sothatI can convince
otherpeople byliterallyputtingusonthe same page. It’s easiertoarrange knowledge inhierarchy. For
example,physicsarisesfrommathematics;chemistryarisesfromphysics,andsoon.But I’m more
interestedinvisualizing more abstractobjectssuchas someone’sconsciousness.Forexample,how
much are you consciousof climate change? How muchknowledge have youamassedonthismatter?
Have you conducteda researchandlookedatthe data?Have youbeento the mostaffectedareasand
talkedtothe mostaffectedpeople? Didyousufferfromclimate change yourself? Are youconsciousthat
youare justplayingthe climate game setupby some superintelligentandpowerful groupof people?
Anyway,ourmostrelevantquestionis,are youconsciousof everythingotherthantechnologiesthatwill
converge atSingularity?Seriously,we needabiggermaptoget there solet’screate ittogether!
