17. Biotechnology
Economy and Biology
Frankfurt has established a strong foundation in
the sciences. Life science and biotechnology
research are strong sectors of innovation within
the city, supported by government resources.
Goethe University, with proposals to develop
plans to increase the capacity of student and
research space (Riedberg Life Science City),
will help push Frankfurt forward, promoting
innovation and knowledge.
18. Amenities
Comfortable Living
In Frankfurt they are very serious about cleanliness. As you can fined
20 euro for throwing away a cigarette butt, or 50 euro for littering.
Though the city is very large, the community is still able to stay close.
People are able to recognize each other on the street an pubs.
Furthermore, Frankfurt has a very affective bicycle system with
bicycle lanes throughout the city. There is also a system where people
are able to call a bike shop and have a bicycle delivered to them, and
when they are finished, they just lock it up in the nearest intersection.
