GIS technology is an indispensable tool that can transform the way urban planning is done in Kenya. However, Kenya urban planning system is still tied up in the outdated manual planning systems with disastrous results in return. If Kenya Is to achieve vision 2030 goal of spatial prosperity and well planned urban land uses, it’s imperative that it incorporate and integrate the GIS technology in its devolved planning offices.

Urban planning was very much a design and engineering exercise with the state as a single stake holder. Mega cities with millions of population, has undergone a series of physical as well as socio-economic changes over the last 60 years. In India, Hyderabad experienced a high rate of urbanization facing structural, environmental, social and economic problems. To provide a holistic perspective on the urban characteristics, an interdisciplinary research approach is used. GISGeographic Information System and Remote Sensing provide the advance techniques and methods for studying urban land development and assist urban planning.

Article 1: Question: Data Visualization and Geographic Information Systems As an IT manager, discuss how you would use the materials in Chapter 11 of your textbook communicating IT information to other department. Use APA throughout. Associations today require expansive volumes of information to lead everyday activities locally and comprehensively too. Hence the data must be dismembered and talked with various branches of the affiliation (Ajibade & Adediran, 2016). There are a couple of contraptions and advances, for instance, dashboards data recognition data mashups, GIS and others that can be used to pass on information among the divisions in an affiliation. Data portrayal according to card et al. as alluded to in Eppler is described as the visual depiction of data with the usage of instinctive programming and application for better correspondence and appreciation of data. There are various techniques through which data portrayal can be gotten to including info-graphics graphs outlines and others to confer information over the affiliation (Fattah, Alghamdi, & A. Amer, 2014). A few decades back the workplace inferred a physical space where delegates would work sitting opposite each other and later came email which is so far being used as a technique for correspondence. Today the significance of the workplace has completely changed and insinuated people working in different regions and collaboration with each other at whatever point critical using GIS. Taba and khatavakhotan clear up those geographic information systems help in the mix of various IT structures and organizations over the globe, which results in feasible correspondence. They discuss the use of maps in GIS for correspondence of an enormous volume of data in a legitimate or between various leveled conditions (Rabia, Shukur, Wills, & Liu, 2010). In essence, the technology is used to display, capture, and study spatial data. In our communityDenver, Colorado fire hazards occur every other time, any delay of reacting to the hazard can mean the difference between the rescue of residents or grave harm or large scale demise. Therefore the crucial timespan between fire suppression and flashover can be gauged and contained in just a matter of seconds; inferring speedy access to essential information is paramount. GIS tools that aid firefighter rescue personnel pinpoint the disaster call scene, equally assist in assessing the potential magnitudes of the fire and establish the most effectual plan will abate property damage and protection of residents and fire service personnel. In the past, first fire responders mainly depend on handy gear, experience, communication, and collaboration to realize effective emergency response (Guzzetti, Marchetti & Pasquinelli, 2012). Nonetheless, with all the encounters facing emergency teams in the present day Colorado, effective response therefore necessitates prudent planning, broad training, risk management and intelligent organization by way of earl.

If you took a Geography course over 20 years ago, you might recall the subject involving little more than memorizing the locations of continents, countries, cities, as well as climate and cultural facts. In that time, many universities have expanded their geography programs by entering the world of Geographic Information Systems, or GIS for short. In the beginning GIS was an obscure field of specialized hardware, software, and cryptic keyboard commands that allowed a skilled professional to query data to get answers to geographic-based inquiries. Queries, such as the quantity of forested acres within an area, were the beginning of the geographicbased analysis revolution that has since unfolded. But today’s leading geography programs are teaching students more than just the where, what, who, and why of our world, but also bring to the table an interdisciplinary approach to solving today’s local, regional, national, and global problems. Many of these programs are not limited to just universities, now involving the K-12 space, tapping into young people’s minds to unleash innovative ideas in what is now an interdisciplinary field. To maintain a competitive advantage in today’s world, leading countries, companies, and research organizations are embracing these new capabilities and the talent that is available in the marketplace.

Running head: GIS 1 GIS 2 Project Foundations of Geographic Information Systems (Proposal) Name Institutional Affiliation Date of Submission Project Foundations of Geographic Information Systems (Proposal) Research Problem to be Solved Natural Resource Management-This Research Proposal focuses on how the Geographic Information Systems software facilitates or helps in the management of Natural Resources. (GIS on the Natural Resource management). It was found that the population, especially those of the major cities around the world, keeps on growing day by day; as a result, most cities are experiencing expansion pressure of accommodating the massive influx. This Proposal, therefore, looks at how the GIS software can be utilized in the identification as well as the assessment of spatial patterns of the existing city as well as identification of the appropriate areas that can be used for urban expansion. Data The primary data to be used for this project will be the population data. This data is readily available and is found in various census archives such as the U.S. census archives. This data, therefore, may be entered as different layers onto the satellite images recorded for the city under consideration. Also, the research will require high-resolution satellite data, which will be for the coverage maps of the selected region; however, this data is quite accessible mostly in digital format, because the NASA, as well as other prominent satellite imaging organizations, may be able to provide this data. Various GIS equipment may also be required in this case; some of them might include the DEM input maps of the land-use in the selected region. The satellite image maps may offer the instrument. Besides, the GIS software will also incorporate the habitat data. After preliminary research into the identification and needs of such species for their ideal habitat (Tomaszewski, 2014). The presentation explores the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) from its inception to its current status in the modern world. The term "artificial intelligence" was first coined by John McCarthy in 1956 to describe efforts to develop computer programs capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. This concept was first introduced at a conference held at Dartmouth College, where programs demonstrated capabilities such as playing chess, proving theorems, and interpreting texts. In the early stages, Alan Turing contributed to the field by defining intelligence as the ability of a being to respond to certain questions intelligently, proposing what is now known as the Turing Test to evaluate the presence of intelligent behavior in machines. As the decades progressed, AI evolved significantly. The 1980s focused on machine learning, teaching computers to learn from data, leading to the development of models that could improve their performance based on their experiences. The 1990s and 2000s saw further advances in algorithms and computational power, which allowed for more sophisticated data analysis techniques, including data mining. By the 2010s, the proliferation of big data and the refinement of deep learning techniques enabled AI to become mainstream. Notable milestones included the success of Google's AlphaGo and advancements in autonomous vehicles by companies like Tesla and Waymo. A major theme of the presentation is the application of generative AI, which has been used for tasks such as natural language text generation, translation, and question answering. Generative AI uses large datasets to train models that can then produce new, coherent pieces of text or other media. The presentation also discusses the ethical implications and the need for regulation in AI, highlighting issues such as privacy, bias, and the potential for misuse. These concerns have prompted calls for comprehensive regulations to ensure the safe and equitable use of AI technologies. Artificial intelligence has also played a significant role in healthcare, particularly highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic, where it was used in drug discovery, vaccine development, and analyzing the spread of the virus. The capabilities of AI in healthcare are vast, ranging from medical diagnostics to personalized medicine, demonstrating the technology's potential to revolutionize fields beyond just technical or consumer applications. In conclusion, AI continues to be a rapidly evolving field with significant implications for various aspects of society. The development from theoretical concepts to real-world applications illustrates both the potential benefits and the challenges that come with integrating advanced technologies into everyday life. The ongoing discussion about AI ethics and regulation underscores the importance of managing these technologies responsibly to maximize their their benefits while minimizing potential harms.
