My tribute to September 11, 2001 - in presentation format.

25. “One”
As the soot and dirt and ash rained down, As we cried tears of grief and loss,
We became one color. We became one soul.
As we carried each other down the stairs of As we retell with pride of the sacrifice of
the burning building, heros,
We became one class. We become one people.
As we lit candles of waiting and hope, We are...
We became one generation. One color
As the firefighters and police officers fought One class
their way into the inferno, One generation
We became one gender. One gender
One faith
As we fell to our knees in prayer for strength, One language
We became one faith. One body
As we whispered or shouted words of One family
encouragement, One soul
We spoke one language. One people
As we gave our blood in lines a mile long, We are The Power of One.
We became one body.
We are United.
As we mourned together the great loss,
We became one family. We are America.
