I think if my media product were to be published I would go
with IPC Media because they are the leading magazine
publisher in the UK, they are also associated with music
magazine NME, whereas EMAP and Conde Nast do not publish
any music magazine, the other publishing house publish,
fashion and design magazines.
Not only that IPC create multi-platform content on mobile, tablet
and online to follow the commitment to engage even more with
the consumers, partners and advertisers to present innovative
service. So subscribing to the website is made is to purchase the
magazine straight form the publishing house. The magazines they
publish are aimed at adults and to reach people globally through
the web.
The magazine will be distributed in news agents
and in the retail music shop HMV and possibly in
retail clothing stores, Urban Outfitters,
Topshop/Topman and Size because the stores
target audience are people interest in urban
fashion and lifestyle. It will also be available
online by the website that is seen beside the
masthead.
The target audience can purchase it for £2.50 if
they buy it in store or if they can or want to
subscribe for £12 per year. My media product
will be purchases bi-monthly, after analysing
magazines such as XXL and Respect, they release
a new issue bi-monthly which I think is a smart
strategy if you want to retrieve exclusive news
and preparation for the contents.
If the reader calculates how much they spend on
every new issue a year if they by in store than
subscribing online they spend more by about £3.
Hip Hop magazine are distributed mostly in
America. Recently Hip Hop magazine have
been doing well.
For example XXL has been dominating other
music magazines such as vibe, the source and
many more. Charts show it s the number one
selling magazine on news stand
The magazine will be distributed
in news agents and in the retail
music shop HMV , retail book
store WHSmith and possibly in
retail clothing stores,
Topshop/Topman and Size
because the stores target
