2. The Romans wore a tunic which was secured with a pin. It was a rectangular piece of
cloth.
They wore the gown for ceremonies. It was drapped around the body and thrown back
over the shoulder. Only citizens had the right to wear the tog.

4. The Roman didn't wear socks but long pieces of cloth that they wrapped around their feet
like a bandage. In hot countries, it kept their feet cool.
5. The women wore the stola, a long pleated dress in bright colors. Over it, they put a palladium
which could cover the head.
Roman women wore their hair in buns. They had plaits which they wrapped around their
head. Sometimes they curled their lashes with curling irons. They could also wear wigs

In ancient Rome, the clothes of the emperor, his family and noble families were, in
general, neat.
A Roman empress wore: a light coat, the palladium, and a long tunic, the stola.
A Roman emperor wore: a woolen tunic, a long piece of purple wool fabric : the toga.
It measured 5 to 6 meters long and 2 meters wide.
7. Indoor, the senators wore large tunics covered "stola." When they came out, they put a
red coat called "palladium" on their white toga
