The Minimal Information About T cell Assays (MIATA) project has two phases aimed at establishing reporting standards. Phase 1 focuses on developing a minimal reporting framework for T cell immune monitoring methods in scientific publications. Phase 2 aims to adapt this framework for annotating immune monitoring datasets in a central database. MIATA is currently in the preparatory phase, with guidelines expected to be published by the end of 2011 after input from experts and public consultation.

Long-term goal of MIATA = Phase 2 : Based on its successful implementation and substantiated feasibility and usefulness for scientific publications, adapt the reporting framework for annotations of immune monitoring data sets from human studies for a central database , possibly in the context of a Human Immunity Project.
