2. Front Cover
On the front cover of my CD, I was aiming for a simplistic look
allowing the attention to mainly focus on Rosie herself; the artist. I
chose a variety of photos as the photos portray the different
characteristics of Rosie, which embraces her personality. I felt that
the title I chose embraced the qualities of Rosie herself, which
again is emphasized through the images used.
3. Back Cover
With my back cover I wanted to create an overall of the
meaning of my album. I used a variety of images based on
love and the different emotions that evolve from it. I also
decided to smudge some of the images, as it relates to the
negative aspects of being in love, and not being able to
see things in life clearly because you’re so wrapped up in a
bad relationship. However the images that remain clear
symbolise the positive side of being in love.
4. Inside Cover.
I wanted the inside cover to be simple, yet I
wanted it to represent the positive elements of life.
I thought that a beach would be a good image to
use. I felt that a beach is a peaceful place, where
people can go to get away and reflect on life,
which relates back to the overall message of my
album.
5. Disc Tray.
I wanted to use a cool close-up photo of
Rosie’s face, so that people can still get a
reminder of who she is when they take the
CD out to listen to it.
6. 1st Pop Up Page
The reason why I chose a gravestone with the word Love
on it, was because I thought it had a strong message
behind it. The image relates to her single ‘R.I.P’ which is
based on moving on from an unstable relationship, and
being done with love, and becoming independent. The
use of the gravestone symbolizes the death of love, which
also links to the title ‘R.I.P’ itself.
7. 2nd Pop Up Page
For the last pop up page I thought that it would be ideal
to add an image of the male from our music video
‘R.I.P’ as he is a key figure. I used two images, one of
them two happy together, which then fades into
another image of them arguing. I decided to do this as I
thought it strongly portrayed different elements of a
relationship.
