Eastbound traffic re-routed onto new Mercer St. lanes 3 lanes continue eastbound with I-5 and Fairview Ave access Access from south via Boren, Terry, and Westlake Aves closed at Republican St. Mercer St. East of Fairview Ave closed Through Fall 2012 January eastbound traffic on Mercer St. will shift onto the new lanes of Mercer St. north of the existing lanes while crews rebuild the existing roadway. Three lanes of traffic will continue eastbound on Mercer St. with access to the I-5 on-ramps and Fairview Ave. N. Purpose: Allow reconstruction of underground utilities, reconstruct street and sidewalk, install new signals, signage, lighting, irrigation, landscaping, and urban design elements in preparation for two-way Mercer St. Duration: Through the fall of 2012. Traffic Routing: Eastbound Mercer St. traffic will shift north to the new Mercer St. lanes and continue to the I-5 on-ramps and Fairview Ave. N.
