Utilitarianism in Hard Times
Charles Dicken’s tale “Hard Times” is a depiction of a era of misery among the Industrial revolt. Charles Dickens is well-known for writing masterpieces derived from current modern brutality, like the “Bleak House” and “Great Expectations”. In “Hard Times”, Dickens describes brilliantly in what way the Industrial Revolution misrepresented the unit of community in those times. Dickens provides his wide variety of opinions from the factory life and the treatment by the Utilitarianism, and explanation of labor laws, and how it impacted education, by demonstrating an ideal school. Workforce is considered as groups of labor by Utilitarianism, where big volume of work is taken at the lowest rate. 2. Utilitarianism in Hard Times
Charles Dicken’s tale “Hard Times” is a depiction of a era of misery among the
Industrial revolt. Charles Dickens is well-known for writing masterpieces derived
from current modern brutality, like the “Bleak House” and “Great Expectations”. In
“Hard Times”, Dickens describes brilliantly in what way the Industrial Revolution
misrepresented the unit of community in those times. Dickens provides his wide
variety of opinions from the factory life and the treatment by the Utilitarianism, and

emotions but have desire for facts and knowledge. Dickens depiction of the
persons lets his readers understand the person’s social status. The novel is
theatrical in Coketown, a common Northern English mill-town transformed by the
Industrial uprising. In Hard Times, Dickens portrays women as a commanding
energy over men by adores and cares as a power, and not a weak point. In
addition, Dickens modifies men into lengthened kindhearted and thoughtful
characters.
