- What is the Kyoto Protocol Kyoto Protocol is the agreement to decrease and slow the emissions of the GHG (Green House Gas), which causes global warming. Why is it created It was created for two purposes, one of them is to decrease the GHG emissions. And the other is to get people’s attentions to the global warming, which is a great global issue now. Controversy over the Kyoto Protocol -There is a lot of controversy over the Kyoto protocol
- 1 Science has proven that GHG cause Global Warming. 2 Science and technology has given us other bio fuels,and other ways to get energy like wind, water, and nuclear energy that don’t give off GHG. 3 To make countries to work together to solve one problem. They learn to make peace.
- Slows country’s development -Kyoto Protocol makes country worry about CO2 emissions rather than making money, glowing, making new technology etc. Destroy people’s lives -People who work in places like factories may loose their jobs. Discrimination of the countries -developed countries and developing countries are treated same, but developing countries think it is not fair. They have to have time to develop first. And then they will care about CO2 emissions.
