3. WHAT is the meaning of CONTROLLED CHAOS?
“As much control as I think I had, the world inside and outside
of me felt crazy, scary and dark. I was screaming and crying
inside but I did everything I could to turn it all off. While I
thought I had CONTROL over my food, my weight, and my
body, the CHAOS that was in my head NEVER stopped”. Pg.4
THIS is the meaning of CONTROLLED CHAOS
4. In the United States, as many as 10 million females and 1
million males are fighting a LIFE and DEATH battle with

disorders, many cases are NOT reported…
By age 6, girls especially start to express their concerns about weight
or shape. 40-60% of elementary school girls (ages 6-12) are concerned
about their weight or becoming too fat…
Forty percent of newly identified cases of anorexia are in girls 15-19
years old.
Over ½ of teenage girls and nearly 1/3 of teenage boys use unhealthy
weight control behaviors such as skipping meals, fasting, smoking
cigarettes, vomiting, and taking laxatives. Pg. 29

OR it can be YOU…
