Absentees for PA/CA/SA are allowed to sit for the
papers within 3 days upon returning to school if they
are absent based on one of the following reasons:
 Sick with a valid medical certificate
 Having to attend to emergency family matters
supported with official document
 Any other valid reasons (on a case by case basis)
upon approval by School Leaders on
compassionate grounds

implemented from Primary 2 to 6 in Anchor Green
Primary.

Listening and Speaking:




P4: A cultural camp is organized to encourage pupils to speak
Mother Tongue

Learning to read and write progressively:
Structured Reading Program: to cultivate interest in reading.
 Writing skills: P4 are required to write picture compositions.




Higher Chinese: Pupils who achieve good result at
year end will be selected for Higher Chinese Class in P3
and P4.

implemented in Mother Tongue lessons



Subsequently, it will be rolled out to P3 to P6

 Values In Action (starting from classroom)
 Parents to reinforce the values taught in school at
home.

SAFETY
SAFETY IN PE LESSONS


PE teacher will check for unwell students before
the start of PE lesson

Unwell students will be exempted from physical
activities. (students with medical certificates, letters
from parents, student's personal report and from
teacher's observation)

•

All watches, wallets, badges or any foreign objects
are to be removed.

During PE lesson
Warming-up and cooling-down exercises will be conducted
before and after physical activities respectively.
Teacher will allow regular access to water before, during and
after exercises to prevent heat injuries. (All pupils are
required to bring along their water bottles)
Injured pupils will be attended to and parents will be
informed. (All PE teachers in AGPS are first-aid and AED
certified)

After PE lesson
Teacher will conduct a visual scan and check to ensure all
pupils are safe and well.

Pupils are expected to have their Pupil’s Diary
everyday for the recording of assignments &
communication purposes



Pupils are to submit all assignments / deliverables
by the deadline stipulated by the teacher



ABSENCE ON PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT AND EXAMINATION DAYS Absentees for PA/CA/SA are allowed to sit for the papers within 3 days upon returning to school if they are absent based on one of the following reasons:  Sick with a valid medical certificate  Having to attend to emergency family matters supported with official document  Any other valid reasons (on a case by case basis) upon approval by School Leaders on compassionate grounds

ASSESSMENT STRUCTURE    Performance and Semestral Assessment tasks cover a range of skills and modes for a balanced assessment Pupils are assessed on listening, reading, viewing, speaking, writing and representing skills, and grammar and vocabulary Performance Assessment tasks include Listening Comprehension, Writing, Oral, Reading Comprehension

  • 18. SCIENCE KEY PROGRAMMES: Green Finger Programme (Growing seeds)  Model Making (Mini Research Project)   Create a conducive habitat for mealworms. Water Education Programme- Create awareness on water conservation efforts  Sony Creative Science Award 2014- Creation of a toy with at least 1 scientific concept (Booth in Term 1 Week 10)  Science Learning Journey (Term 2 – NeWater / Science Centre) 
  • 20. MOTHER TONGUE MODULAR APPROACH  The Modular Approach recommended by MOE is implemented from Primary 2 to 6 in Anchor Green Primary.
  • 21. P4 MOTHER TONGUE KEY PROGRAMMES  Key Programmes  Listening and Speaking:   P4: A cultural camp is organized to encourage pupils to speak Mother Tongue Learning to read and write progressively: Structured Reading Program: to cultivate interest in reading.  Writing skills: P4 are required to write picture compositions.   Higher Chinese: Pupils who achieve good result at year end will be selected for Higher Chinese Class in P3 and P4.

  • 25. CCE CURRICULUM  2014 – P1 and P2 CCE is already being implemented in Mother Tongue lessons  Subsequently, it will be rolled out to P3 to P6
  • 26. EMPHASIS…. Cultivating CCE culture  Teacher- Student Relationship building  Family Time  Values In Action (starting from classroom)  Parents to reinforce the values taught in school at home. 
  • 28. SAFETY IN PE LESSONS  PE teacher will check for unwell students before the start of PE lesson • Unwell students will be exempted from physical activities. (students with medical certificates, letters from parents, student's personal report and from teacher's observation) • All watches, wallets, badges or any foreign objects are to be removed.
  • 29. SAFETY IN PE LESSONS  • • •  • During PE lesson Warming-up and cooling-down exercises will be conducted before and after physical activities respectively. Teacher will allow regular access to water before, during and after exercises to prevent heat injuries. (All pupils are required to bring along their water bottles) Injured pupils will be attended to and parents will be informed. (All PE teachers in AGPS are first-aid and AED certified) After PE lesson Teacher will conduct a visual scan and check to ensure all pupils are safe and well.

EXPECTATIONS  Pupils are expected to have their Pupil’s Diary everyday for the recording of assignments & communication purposes  Pupils are to submit all assignments / deliverables by the deadline stipulated by the teacher  Pupils to abide by the school rules stipulated in the Pupils’ Diary
