Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin, which separates cotton fibers from seeds. He created several prototypes before developing one that worked effectively. The cotton gin automated a process that slaves previously did by hand, making their work much easier. It extracts cotton fibers and disposes of seeds, leaving behind a ball of clean cotton. Whitney also invented interchangeable parts and prototype gunlocks and helped develop milling machines.
2. HIS INVENTION
Eli Whitney is the

And the Cotton
Gin is what
made the slaves job much easier. This machine would take
place of the Slaves job and is rather neat, actually. You put the
cotton in the machine & it separates the cotton and the seeds
and disposes the seeds and leaves a deformed ball of clean
cotton.

4. OTHER INVENTIONS
Eli Whitney made many other inventions besides the cotton gin. Some examples
are:
•Interchangeable Parts (When one part of a machine is broken, you can put
another part in its place that isn't the same.)
•Prototype Gunlocks (Created for muskets and was told by President Adams to
make 15000 muskets.)
•Milling Machine (Modified lathe that turns out irregularly shaped parts. Without
the milling machine, it is difficult to see how standardized parts could ever have
been invented.)
