LOCATION BASED ADVERTISING
There are many ways of advertising that work nowadays. You can explore a number of technologies
including Bluetooth and iBeacon which are premier location based advertisement methods.
However all of them work through the simple methods of location based advertising. This type of
approach to advertisement has specifically two approaches.
The pull approach
The pull approach is when the customer himself is looking for some valid data due to his needs and
gets an automated ad in relevance to what he is looking for. So this is a way that helps him or her
out as well as makes sure that they do not get random ads sent to them without any relevance. This
can be used as mobile applications as well where he gets the data, the ad, as well as a bonus
discount or other beneficial features.
The push approach
The push approach of marketing is something different. It focuses on the geographical location and
mobile phones are targeted within that particular area. The general public can be targeted or you
can target specific people who opt in or sign up for the updates and ads.
Location based ads are very effective but you have to ensure that the customer only gets the
relevant data. No one wants gibberish to be sent to them. Your ads need to be informative and to
the point if you wish to succeed at using it to improve your business. Location based advertising will
work greatly when you have a proper designer who can work up the ads in the most unique and
engaging way possible.
