1. Huawei B683 HSPA + Router
Huawei B683 with a new UMTS router was introduced as the successor of the Huawei B970b
(Speedport HSPA)is positioned. The router supports in contrast to its predecessor, the HSPA +
technology and is capable of speeds up to 28.8 Mbit / s downstream reach. The upload is still
"only" 5.76 Mbit / s. Of course, the router is also backwards compatible with 2G, EDGE and GPRS
are also available so even if no UMTS is available.
The Huawei B683 Router equivalent of the remaining facilities forth the B970b, there are again
four LAN ports on the bottom. The latest addition is a USB port for connecting a printer or hard
drive, which can then be used by the whole family in the network. Of course, the Huawei B683
Router also has a Wi-Fi interface, as is proper for a real router. Huawei uses the latest 802.11 b / g
/ n standard, so that the fast HSPA + connection can be fully utilized wlan. On the front, there are
several LED indicators (see chart below), on the back there is a connector for external antenna
(SMA type). How can the Huawei B683 Router even in areas with poor reception or UMTS surf
with acceptable speed.
When the Huawei B683 in Germany comes on the market and whether it will replace the
somewhat outdated Speedport HSPA in the telecoms, I still could not hear. In the Netherlands,
the device can certainly been for a special price 215$ on 4gltesolution.com. Those looking for a
more powerful and LTE-enabled router should do is to join the B2000 Vodafone View - which is
even a bit cheaper and has more functions.
