Register on the Stats SA Database for Census 2011
Statistics South Africa will be undertaking a Census Project in 2011. Various contract positions will arise from this Project and you are invited to
submit an application to be registered on the Stats SA database and consequently be earmarked for one of these positions.
Location: The Project will be conducted throughout the country, therefore contract employment opportunities exist in all provinces and districts.
Contract: An employment contract stipulating duration, job content, remuneration and other conditions will be provided when opportunities for such
contract employment arise.
Opportunities for contract employment will be available in the following area:

Fieldwork Publicity, listing, enumeration and Communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and map reading
quality assurance skills. A driver’s licence will serve as an added advantage
Prerequisites/general requirements: l A minimum of a Senior Certificate (Matric) l Proficiency in English, plus one other official language l RSA
citizenship l No criminal record.
Person profile: l Good interpersonal relations l The willingness to work long hours and weekends l The ability to work under pressure l Attention to
detail and quality.
All applicants must be willing to undergo training and write assessment tests as part of the selection process.
Required documents: l Stats SA Census 2011 Application Form l A detailed, updated CV with contact details of three recent referees l Certified
copies of qualifications/certificates, transcripts/tertiary results and ID.
