3d/pop up bar graphs by Simon Killen- idea originally adapted from http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Creating-Pop-Up-Bar-Graphs-An-Interactive-Graph-Activity-389468
2. 3D graphs
• Open the piece of paper
and use the fold as the
x-axis.
• Draw the graph from a
data set as normal for a
bar graph, ensuring
there is an equal space
between the bars.
4. 3D graphs
• Fold the piece of paper
in half and cut along the
edges of the bars.
• Ensure both sides of the
bars line up…
• Don’t cut the top of the
bar or you will cut it
out!
5. 3D graphs
• Open the paper half
way and poke each of
the bars through from
behind.
6. 3D graphs
• You now have a 3D
graph.
• I have used graph paper
here (and stuck it to
card) however, for a
more able group, using
a pencil and ruler to
draw the graph.
