Consider how you’re spraying your pesticide if you’re having bugs around the house. If you
are only spraying the outside of your home, you are really keeping the bugs inside your house.
You should spray inside of your home along with the outside and to be completely honest, this is
one repair around the house that I prefer to let the professionals do, because if there are bugs
around the house I want them gone right now!
If your pipes are leaking, get them fixed. Pests need water to live and are attracted to leaks and
they can actually sense a drip from pretty far away. This is something that will not only save you
money on your water bill it will definitely help eliminate your bug problems.
If you have an outside camper, mice and other rodents love to sleep in them throughout the fall
or winter and they also look for ways to come inside of your house, so put out natural bags of
repellents to help eliminate your mice problems immediately.
Here is a trick you can use to try and catch all the silverfish in your home at once, it’s kinda
country but it works . . . and for those who don’t know what a silverfish is you’ve seen them
before they are pretty common so Google it and you will recognize them immediately. Wet
some newspaper and put it on the floor overnight. In the morning quickly grab the wet
newspaper to avoid having them scatter!
This may seem a little different however if you want no more bugs around the house you can’t
avoid asking your neighbors for advice, perhaps they might be having the same pest problem as
well . . . and perhaps will work with you to eliminate the problem for good.

If you live in an apartment be sure to check your local building authority and ordinances for
available options for pest treatments. Don’t try to do it by yourself in an apartment complex
because there are so many tenants living in one area more than likely everyone has the same bug
problem.

must get to the bugs food source to stop them from coming into your home. They are in the
house because they have access to food, water or shelter so search for and eliminate all leaks or
entry points.
If you find pests in any food, get rid of the item immediately. Place the contaminated food in a
bin outside and far from your home. This ensures they don’t crawl out and get back into your
home. It’s very important to not leave food out over night, as well as on the floors and counters
so be sure to clean your kitchen regularly.
Houseflies are easily controlled when you use old fashioned ideas like fly swatters and sticky
strips, they still do the job inside your house and when outside hang a bag of water in a clear bag
on your porch and this will help control flies on your porch. Sounds crazy but it works!
