There are two main types of tundra: Arctic and Alpine. The Arctic Tundra is a cold, treeless, and swampy plain found near the Arctic Ocean in northern regions like Greenland, Alaska, and Canada. Alpine Tundra exists at high elevations in mountains. Arctic animals that live in the tundra include Arctic foxes, caribou, and gray wolves.
