• Fitness-based curriculum, not “games-based”
• Heart Rate Monitors record student HR data
throughout class and are used for grading
• Innovative uses of technology to get students
involved in being active

4. P.E. Tech
• HR Monitors: Used to gather student data and for
grading
• Give students immediate feedback about effort
level
• Nintendo Wii: Used for “active” gaming
• Dance, Dance Revolution and Wii Fit
• SMART Board: Used for interactive lessons

5. Health
• 1/2 Credit Class, required for High School
Graduation
• Teaching students to make smart decisions about
their health and wellbeing.
• Classes are hybrid, some parts face to face, some
parts online

6. Computer Science
• 1 Credit Class for Middle School Students
• A basic introduction into computers including
hardware and software
• Focus will be on most common applications
including MS Office

• We will spend some time learning to write
programs and create web sites
• Students will register for a free email account with
Google for use in the class
• Students will also register for other free online
services throughout the course of the year
