5. METHOD
1. Clean the two chicken bones and
place one bone in a beaker of
vinegar and the other in a beaker of
water so that the bone is submerged.
2. Allow the bones to soak for at least
three days. Then remove the bones
and observe any changes. Take a
photo of your results.
3. Return the bones to the beakers for
another week, then remove and
observe any further changes in the
bones. Try to tie the bones in a knot.
Take a photo of your results.
7. DISCUSSION
1. What changes occurred in each of the two bones?
2. How did the bone change after more than a week in
vinegar?
3. Why do you think the bone in the vinegar changed
the way it did?
4. Why was the beaker of water used in the first part
of this experiment?
