Tom Buttner is working on a project to track playlists for independent radio stations using libOFA fingerprinting software. However, libOFA is not providing fingerprints as expected for stereo tracks, mono mixes, or 2-channel stereo inputs. Buttner has learned how other fingerprinting services like Gracenote work using multiprocessing and document libraries, moving his understanding beyond that of a "Linux tourist." He thanks various open source projects and developers for their contributions to his learning.
