The International Golden Chest Festival for TV Film Productions is an annual festival held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The festival aims to promote Bulgarian TV films and series and connect authors and producers globally. There are two categories for international competition: fiction and non-fiction films. Programs must be based on national literature, produced after 2000, and can be no longer than 60 minutes. The entry fee is 150 DEM. 1. The International Golden Chest Festival for TV Film Productions, hosted by the Bulgarian National Television, is held in Plovdiv each year. Main goal of the festival is to promote the development of Bulgarian TV films and series, and to expand the contacts between authors andproducers from across the world. Two categories are open for international competition: “TV fiction films and series” and “ Non-fiction Films”. Only one program in each category is accepted. Programs should be based on national literary material and produced after June 2000 The producers must send in advance an entry form, a synopsis (up to 15 lines) in English, a complete dialogue list in the original language and in English translation, a CV of the scriptwriter, director and principal actors, theirphotos and reviews, a poster of the film, ten photos for the Press, VHS demo videotape with subtitles in English for selection, BETA SP tape with the original version and English subtitles – only for the nominated films, which should not exceed 60 minutes. There’s an entry fee of 150 DEM for each program.

Plovdiv's fair grounds are situated on the tree-lined northern banks of Maritsa River, a 10-minute walk from the centre of Plovdiv. The fair grounds, in a park-like setting, cover 360,000 sq.m. with an overall exhibition area of 95,000 sq.m., two-thirds of which is indoors. The pavilions are equipped with lifts and escalators, heating and air conditioning, audio and video systems, electricity, water, telephone, telex and fax communications. There is a walking street connecting the fairground with the downtown area and includes a wide pedestrian bridge across the Maritsa River (lined with vendor stalls selling all sorts of things including food, flowers, clothing and crafts). grounds. Numerous shows and exhibitions are presented here throughout the entire year, from the Christmas Bazaar which spans the holidays season from the end of each year to the beginning of the next, two huge International fairs (a spring one and an autumn one), wine-production and agricultural fairs as well as many other exhibitions.
