3. Learning how to make turron Turrón ( Tagalog : turon ) is a Philippine snack. A typical turrón is plantain and jackfruit wrapped in a springroll wrapper, dipped in brown sugar , then fried. These are also known as banana fritters.

5. We made the turrons and put them together with other filipino snacks, made by the rest of the Elementary School, and donated them to the support staff here at ISM. We also had a chance to taste the yummy Filipino snack!
7. We had a chance to take a walk through a museum filled with artifacts from the Filipino culture. Images of ISM faculty and students providing support to the victims from typhoon Ondoy. Recycled materials were used be the first graders to create a city. Students were able to take a closer look at handicrafts made in the Philippines by local Filipinos.
