2011 residency:
“A lot [of] representatives of the libraries…would
speak in superlatives. This in a country that has
plenty to boast about in regards to the largest
this, the tallest that, the longest
whatchamacallit, the oldest such and such and the
biggest what’sit. Especially in the wake of the
Beijing Olympics and the Shanghai World Expo, the
grandness of the public projects is on peoples’
minds. Scale and size is a persistent topic.”
