4. Puspamara Sdn Bhd is a company mass
garment production business. The company
operates in Malaysia. Its registered address
is No. 682, Jln Padang Tembak, 16100
Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan. This company
produce a large quantity of army suits,
police uniforms, fire fighter attire and lots
more. This company not only produce
garments, but also making research and
development for their clients. They have
about 80 workers and they operates only
one shift a day.
5. Puspamara Sendirian Berhad was established in 1980
as a garment manufacturer of various types of
apparels and uniforms for Army, Police, Customs and
Fire Brigade. Besides the contract markets,
Puspamara also involves in commercial and export
markets, including designing and developing special
products.
As a leading company in uniform manufacturing
industry, Puspamara has done a lot of research on
products development to meet customers'
requirement and satisfaction. Now, we are
diversifying and venturing into Parachute
manufacturing for Asia and Pacific Region.

7. Puspamara Sdn Bhd is sub company
from Nadicorp Sdn Bhd.
Basically, Puspamara Sdn Bhd has 3
department which is Sales & Logistic,
Production, and Quality control
department.
All this department supervised by one
person and managed by a manager.
8. TECHNICAL PROCESS: the technical process is placed on one softboard so all workers easily
refer to it in the process of producing prototype and garment. Here,all the info about fabrics
used, the pattern, zippers and more are mentioned.

10. GARMENT SAMPLING: after the technical process, they produce a prototype before presented
to their costumer for next step for production.

process is technical

first, they lay 50 to
100 piece of fabrics
using fabric lay
machine.

on the fabric and
being stapled
together so the
pattern paper wont
move.
Next, the fabric is cut
according to the line
on pattern paper.

18. Ayu Fashion is a workshop in Batik
Painting. The company operates in
Malaysia. Its registered address is
Bengkel Batik Ayu Fashion, Lot 1139, Kg
Talak, Chabang Empat, 16200 Tumpat,
Kelantan. Ayu Batik produce high
quality of batik –fabric and design. They
only produce high quality hand-made
batik, which means there is no the same
batik.
19. This workshop was established in 1972 and
the founder is Mahadi Abd Rahman. This
workshop is open from a small scale until be
a great workshop and known. The
workshop are run by the Mahadi Abd
Rahman family members. They have about
ten loyal workers. They also have a store run
by their family members to sell their
beautiful product. Ayu Batik also won few
competion in national stage.

TECHNIQUE
As interviewed, this
worker tells us that his
work is the first thing
to do in batik
making. He prints the
motive on white
cloth using block or
“sarang” that
dipped in the hot
wax.
21. This is hot liquid wax
which used as ink in
print making and
motive drawing
process. This ink also
acts as border in
colouring process.

plain white cloth
before colouring it.
This process called
canting and the
ink used in this
process is hot wax.
This skillfull workers
tells us thats he
work as batik artist
for almost 15 years.

24. To preserve the colour,
first the batik clocth
must soaked in sodium
silicate concentration
and left hanging
under the roof for 8
hours.
After the 8 hours of
hanging, the cloth
then is soaked in hot
water to remove wax
and excessive sodium
silicate.

28. In conclusion, there are so many things that we learn
on our trip to this two factory. At Puspamara, we
learn about garment making process-design,fabric,
technical drawing, pattern making, sampling, and
mass production cutting and sewing. At Ayu Batik we
learn about the process of motive making and fabric
colouring. This trip change the way we look to the
industy of fashion. We watch and feels process that
starts form simple sketches till to the finishing of the
garment. It is not easy as we imagine before, yet
more intresting than we can imagine before. The
things that we learn on this trip not only to finish this
report and get marks but also can be applied in our
design and pattern making process.
