This presentation shows you how I made labels on my computer and placed them onto food items to market myself! I am going to try every trick in the book until someone hires me! If you know of someone hiring or want to hire me, e-mail me at NathanYoung@GeekAlabama.com

2. From my Visual Resume that has
close to 10,000 views now.
My Job Search Struggles
To my Cover Letter, that has
been featured on BuzzFeed. To my Video Resume,
which has many views
on YouTube.
To my many followers on many social
media sites, even with contacts, no
job offers have happened.
To my portfolio, that
has been on Muck Rack
and other websites.
To my video,
that parodies
my job search
struggles.
3. My Struggles In Finding A Job/Career
Since being fired in July 2011, I have
applied to over 1,150 jobs, with few
callbacks and even fewer interviews. A few
jobs almost happened, but the job offer fell
through at the last minute. I also have been
to 14 major job fairs and passed out my
resume many times, but nothing happened.
One can only be unemployed for so long.
Eventually, you run out of money to live
somewhere, buy supplies to keep
yourself and your clothes clean and
groomed, and money to buy food to
keep yourself from starving. I am about
at the point where I will be broke and
homeless, it’s like sitting on a ticking
time bomb waiting for the denotation.
There’s nothing you can do but wait.
5. 1. I used Microsoft PowerPoint to make the labels
on my food marketing items.
6. 2. I printed in black and white first and tested
the labels to make sure they would fit!
7. 3. To make the “Road Candies” label, I took a
empty Starburst box, and covered it with white
paper and glued down with some hot glue.
8. 4. Then I cut out the labels, and glued them on
with hot glue. Does it look nice!
9. 5. I filled the empty box with some butterscotch
candy, and there is the “Road Candies” box!
10. 6. To make the “Road Soda” labels, I got a 8-pack
of small bottles Dr. Pepper.
11. 7. I split the 8-pack in half, and took off the Dr.
Pepper labels from the bottles.
12. 8. I glued the labels onto the bottles using some
low temp hot glue.
13. 9. Then I put the bottles in the rings, and glued
the big labels on the rings, there you go!
14. 10. For the “Road Sucker”, I cut out the labels and
used some Tootsie Roll Pops.
15. 11. I glued the labels onto the lollipop on both
sides, do not take off the wrapper!
16. 12. After gluing the labels onto the lollipops, I
have a easy way to market myself!
17. 13. Each label comes with some cute graphics on
the front, all made by me!
18. 14. On the back, the label includes my skills as
nutrition facts, qualities as my ingredients, and a
QR Code that takes you to Geek Alabama!
19. 15. Here is the entire collection! I guess I am
going to try every trick in the book before
someone finally hires me!
20. I am ready to be hired now!
I will continue to do every trick in the book until
someone hires me. If you know of something or if
