What is Content Management System (CMS)?

A content management system (CMS) is a computer program that allows

publishing, editing and modifying content on a web site as well as

maintenance from a central page. It provides procedures to manage

workflow in a collaborative environment.

Or we can say that CMS is a tool to separate content from presentation.

Joomla is a free and open source content management framework (CMF) for

management systems). With millions of websites running on Joomla, the
software is used by individuals, small & medium-sized businesses, and large
