2. I believe the combination of my main and ancillary texts are very effective and there is a synergy between all of my products, the main theme of my music video is the reggae scene and the Jamaican way of life as that is the genre of the song so I have incorporated that theme within my main and ancillary texts. I have kept the text style the same for both my magazine advert and the CD cover and booklet so therefore it creates a link between the two and when my target audience see one ancillary text they will see the other and instantly relate. The colour scheme for my ancillary texts is in the colours of the Jamaican flag which goes well with my main text as the genre of my music video is reggae which originated in Jamaica.
3. As you can see, I have used the same costumes within my ancillary texts as the main costume within my main product, this is because I have tried to keep all of my products consistent and relevant to each other so as my target audience would be able to relate to one media product after seeing another. The main images used within my ancillary texts were taken during the production process of our music video.
4. The white coloured font used within my CD cover is the same as the font within my magazine advertisement, again I have done this to create a relationship between both of my ancillary texts so if my target audience look at the magazine advertisement then once they look at the cd cover they will instantly create a link between the two and purchase the cd. The ‘Calibri’ font is very effective due to the fact it is bold therefore ensures that both of my ancillary texts stand out, the white colour has also been used to attract viewers as it is the brightest coloured font within both of my ancillary texts.
