3. Founded in 1959, the name of the Mixed
Secondary School
grades XI I High School has a long
tradition in education
Mangalia.

4. Responding to the need to give young people in
Mangalia and the
surrounding villages, a high- quality institution of
education with
young and enthusiastic teaching staff , our high school
was founded . It has educated students who have
succeeded professionally in various
areas of activity.

5. It has changed its name in
"Callatis" High School
and the new building was
inaugurated in the presence
of PhD Andrei Marga,
Minister of Education at
the time and many local
officials. Previously, the school
functioned for 8 years
in Industrial School
"Ion Banescu" until
1998 when it was
moved to a new building

6. The school is very large. There are laboratories for every
school subject, including a festival hall and a gym.

10. Our school participated in the Football
Championship. We have our famous
footballers all over Mangalia.

11. We,Callatis High School
organised a show where
we had traditional dances
and poems, famous
proverbs of the
Romanians.

12. The achievements of students and teachers,
through involvement in projects and
“10 days of
love” educational programs, by organizing large
events, High School "Callatis" integrates in the
theoretical high elite family of Constanta.

13. On holidays we decorate
the Christmas tree to
bring the spirit of
Christmas in school.

14. On Valentine’s Day, we glued
hearts on the doors of all the
classrooms to spread the spirit of
this day!
