3. You are not alone

About 12% of women aged 15-44 had difficulty in conceiving
or carrying a pregnancy to term.
4. Let’s Understand Pregnancy
Pregnancy is an outcome of a process
To get pregnant:
Ovulation: A woman must release an egg from her ovaries.
Womb: The egg must travel through a Fallopian Tube to the
uterus.
Fertilization: A man’s sperm must combine with the woman’s
egg along the way.
Implantation: The fertilized egg must attach to the uterine wall.
Infertility can occur if there a problem occurs with any of the
above steps.

reasons:

Endometriosis
Problems with the uterus
6. What Increases the Risks of Infertility in
Females?

8. In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
IVF means fertilization occurs outside the
body. Being the most effective infertility
treatment, IVF is often used when a
woman’s Fallopian Tubes are blocked or
man has low sperm count issue.
Zygote Intra- Fallopian Transfer
(ZIFT)
ZIFT is very much similar to IVF as
fertilization occurs in the laboratory. In
this procedure, instead of the uterus, the
healthy resulting embryo is transferred to
the Fallopian Tube.
9. Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection
(ICSI)
ICSI is often suggested to couples who are
struggling with infertility because of male
infertility. A single healthy sperm is
directly injected into a mature egg. After
that the embryo is transferred to the
uterus or the Fallopian Tube.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
IUI is often referred to artificial or donor
insemination in which sperm directly
puts into the uterus. This puts the sperm
very closer to the egg.
