Learning how to develop plans and set goals  Making appropriate subject choices (to pursue interests but keep options open)  Demonstrate awareness of changing influences, interests, strengths, values and identity development Exploring work, training, and study opportunities  Evidence is shown of Māori students’ improvements in morale, engagement and participation in learning Students attend and participate actively in their learning, setting and meeting goals for achievement Student motivation is intrinsic with a focus on understanding Learning environments reflect the world of the learner, encouraging  identification  of aspect of identity, making links with prior knowledge and self awareness Co-inquirers Evaluate questions and answers Raise questions Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi Engari taku toa he toa takitini I do not achieve as an individual I succeed/achieve with the help of others CPaBL C a P B L Te Kotahitanga
